Basketball Game Recap: Hurley Tigers vs. School of the Ozarks Patriots

The Hurley Tigers couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against School of the Ozarks on Tuesday, falling 75-37. Hurley lost against School of the Ozarks in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 62-21 score last time.

Among those leading the charge was Caleb Widner, who scored 20 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Shadrach Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Hurley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for School of the Ozarks, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hurley will face off against Walnut Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. School of the Ozarks is on the road again on Thursday and play against Blue Eye at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th.
