Baseball Recap: Coventry Takes a Loss

Coventry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to the North Kingstown Skippers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Skippers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-5 on Tuesday.

Aidan Bocompani made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Coventry's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for North Kingstown, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Coventry will take on rival Portsmouth at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, North Kingstown is set to square off against their familiar foe Cranston East at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
