Basketball Recap: Mt. Baker Comes Up Short

Mt. Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 77-55 to the Ferndale Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mountaineers of the 59-46 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Mt. Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Ferndale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Coming up, Mt. Baker won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mount Vernon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mount Vernon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Mt. Baker likes a good challenge. Ferndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
