Volleyball Recap: Calamus-Wheatland Takes a Loss

Calamus-Wheatland was the 3-0 winner over North Cedar when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Knights since Saturday.

Calamus-Wheatland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for North Cedar, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2-1.

Calamus-Wheatland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Fort Madison on the 6th. As for North Cedar, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Central City on the 6th.
