Tyler Sorrells leads a balanced attack to beat Prince Avenue Christian

Recap: Commerce Tigers vs. Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines

The Commerce Tigers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-41 win over Prince Avenue Christian. The win was just what Commerce needed coming off of a 69-49 defeat in their prior match.

Commerce's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Sorrells led the charge by scoring 20 points along with six rebounds. The match was Sorrells' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maki Mitchell, who scored eight points along with three steals.

Commerce's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Commerce will face off against Rabun County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against George Walton Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully George Walton Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
