San Marin has gone 10-0 against Novato recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The San Marin Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Novato Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

San Marin took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 46-34 victory over Las Lomas. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Knights are ranked 482nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Novato can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Everything went their way against Piner as Novato made off with a 40-15 win. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 25 points or more this season.

San Marin pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points per game. As for Novato, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

San Marin didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Novato in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 33-29 victory. Will San Marin repeat their success, or does Novato have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
