Waubay/Summit's game on Thursday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the Great Plains Lutheran Panthers by a score of 57-47. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Great Plains Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Austin Rubendall, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 23 points. What's more, Rubendall also posted a 64% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January of 2024. Brody Scharlemann was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Waubay/Summit has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. With the defeat, Great Plains Lutheran broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-10.
