Baseball Game Preview: Coventry Comets vs. Woodridge Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Coventry will face off against Woodridge. The Comets will face off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coventry has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 12.

Coventry came up short against Woodridge on Monday, falling 9-2. That's two games in a row now that the Comets have lost by exactly seven runs.

For Woodridge's part, Josh Rush was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave Rush a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Sweatt, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Jack Linton was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
