Soccer Recap: Cedartown Comes Up Short

Cedartown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 4-1 to the Southeast Whitfield County Raiders. Cedartown were not able to make up for their defeat to Southeast Whitfield County from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Cedartown's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Southeast Whitfield County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedartown will square off against Mt. Zion at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cherokee at 6:00 p.m. on April 8.
