Football Recap: Forge Christian Extends Winning Streak to Four

If Platte Canyon wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Forge Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Quentin Torres. The Fury claimed a resounding 38-0 victory over the Huskies with plenty of help from Torres, who rushed for 152 yards and three TDs, and also picked up 68 receiving yards and one touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 56 yards.

The win was the fourth in a row for Forge Christian, bringing their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.0 points on average over those games. As for Platte Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Coming up, Forge Christian will look to defend their home field on Friday against Denver Christian at 7:00 p.m. The Fury will need to watch out since the Thunder have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Platte Canyon, they will venture away from home to face off against Englewood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies are facing the Pirates at the right time seeing as the Pirates are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
