Volleyball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Macomb's Winning Streak

After a string of four wins, Macomb's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Rochester Rockets.

Jordan Hines paced Macomb's offense, picking up three kills. Hines got some help from Sophie Wilson and her six assists. Addy Fox controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Rochester's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cami Tinder, who had 20 assists and eight digs. Tinder is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season.

Macomb's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Rochester, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Coincidentally, Macomb and Rochester will both be playing Newark the next time they take the court. The Bombers will head out to face the Norsemen at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Rockets will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
