Marlboro Central hadn't done well against New Paltz recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Dukes walked away with a 3-1 win over the Huguenots. This was a revenge game for the Dukes: when they faced off against the Huguenots two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Marlboro Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-23, 26-24.

The victory made it two in a row for Marlboro Central and bumps their season record up to 3-4-1. As for New Paltz, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Marlboro Central is set to face off against their familiar foe Spackenkill at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, New Paltz will take on rival Rondout Valley at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
