North Rowan's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-0 win over Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy. North Rowan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jo Jo Tarver, who rushed for 126 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. That's the most rushing yards Tarver has posted since back in October of 2024. Another signal caller making a difference was Michael Alford, who threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing.

Meanwhile, South Stanly had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 14-6 victory over the Cardinals. The 14-point effort marked the Rowdy Rebel Bulls' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
