Volleyball Recap: Central Valley Falcons vs. West Valley Eagles
It was a Battle of the Birds when Central Valley duked it out with West Valley on Tuesday. The Falcons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
West Valley can attribute much of their success to Marlee Byxbe, who had six digs and three aces. Byxbe has been hot recently, having posted three or more aces the last four times she's played.
Central Valley dropped their record down to 1-26 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for West Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
Central Valley has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Anderson on the 16th. As for West Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Yreka on the 16th.
