Basketball Recap: Lamar Beats Subiaco Academy for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Lamar had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 63-54 win over the Subiaco Academy Trojans. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Trojans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 68-62 defeat.

Lamar's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kade Boen, who went 8 of 13 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. The match was Boen's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Noonan, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards.

Lamar's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Subiaco Academy, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-4.

Lamar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-35 victory against Paris on the 25th. Subiaco Academy has also already played their next game (against Booneville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
