Softball Preview: O'Gorman Knights vs. Washington Warriors        
        
		
            
 The O'Gorman Knights will be playing at home against the Washington Warriors at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. O'Gorman will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak  alive.
 Last Tuesday, O'Gorman narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Roosevelt  4-3.
  Mary Koch made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   six  hits. Koch has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Koch was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 Koch wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Kinsley Sheridan, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Washington faced Jefferson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Washington fell  9-4 to Jefferson. Washington's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
 O'Gorman has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season. As for Washington, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 5-2.
 O'Gorman took their  victory against Washington  when the teams last played  back in May of 2023 by a conclusive  13-1. Does  O'Gorman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Washington turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
