Basketball Recap: Covington Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Covington had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. The contest between the Chargers and the Obion County Rebels didn't end well, with the Chargers falling 51-34.

Obion County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jatlyn Mosely out in front who shot 47% from the field to rack up 22 points in addition to six assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Levi Hendrix, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Looking ahead, Covington will head out to face off against Liberty Tech Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Obion County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Gibson County at 7:30 p.m.
