Rocky Mountain Prep SMART will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating DSST: Cedar, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Ocelotls sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Falcons on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Ocelotls have posted since September 9th.

Rocky Mountain Prep SMART was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-0, 0-25, 0-25, 25-0, 15-13.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Denver West, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Manual 3-0 on Wednesday. The Cowboys not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 19th (when they won 3-0).

Denver West's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, their victory bumped their record up to 5-14.

Rocky Mountain Prep SMART skirted past Denver West 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ocelotls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
