 Plainview had to endure  a  four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a  run and slipped past the Evans Eagles  6-5. For Plainview, this counts as revenge for the   11-9 defeat Evans walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in March of 2023.
  Caleb Calhoun made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   ten  hits (and only one walk). Calhoun has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. Calhoun was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-5 with a  stolen base, a  double,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Joseph Reed was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.  Brennon Johnson was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances.
 Plainview's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Evans, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-14.
 Plainview will be playing in front of their home fans against Hathaway at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The last three games Plainview has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Evans does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
