Softball Recap: Rock Falls Rockets vs. Dixon Dukes & Duchesses
Rock Falls can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses 13-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for Rock Falls.
Peyton Smit made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Smit has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Smit was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
