Softball Recap: Ponce De Leon Comes Up Short

Ponce De Leon fell victim to Cottondale and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cottondale Hornets. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Ponce De Leon's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Cottondale, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ponce De Leon will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bethlehem at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. Cottondale will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Vernon at 5:30 p.m. on March 25th.
