Baseball Recap: Holcomb's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After flying high against Garden City on Friday, Holcomb came back down to earth. Holcomb fell just short of Garden City by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The loss was the Longhorns' first of the season.

Holcomb saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Davin Hernandez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Jaiden Olvedo, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Holcomb fell to 3-1. As for Garden City, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Holcomb has already played their next contest (against Hugoton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Garden City, they are taking a road trip to take on Liberal at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
