Soccer Game Preview: Continental vs. Pettisville + How To Watch

The Continental Pirates will square off against the Pettisville Blackbirds at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Continental has three straight wins, Pettisville has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Continental gave up the first goal on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Bowling Green 4-3. Given Continental's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Bowling Green are ranked 291st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Continental hit Bowling Green with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rhettik Bowers (2), Jackson Bidlack, and Hunter Varner.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Pettisville's offense. They lost 7-0 to Miller City on Thursday.

Pettisville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12-2. As for Continental, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1-2.

Everything went Continental's way against Pettisville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Continental made off with a 4-0 win. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Blackbirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
