Recap: Sumter County Panthers vs. Worth County Rams
There's no place like home for The Sumter County Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 39-34 victory over Worth County on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Ja?kory Wise had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Tyson, who rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
Worth County's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lyndon Worthy, who threw for 266 yards and four touchdowns. Another player making a difference was D'ontae Fulton, who picked up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Sumter County now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Worth County, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-4.
Sumter County will head out on the road to face off against Jeff Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Worth County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cook is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
