Basketball Recap: Bellevue Comes Up Short

Bellevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 48-35 to the Boone County Rebels. The Tigers lost against the Rebels in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 90-40 score last time.

Bellevue's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Boone County, the victory snapped their losing streak at nine games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-7 record.

Bellevue and Boone County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. Bellevue (ranked 243rd) will meet Heritage Academy (ranked 121st) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Boone County (ranked 241st) will meet Highlands (ranked 42nd) at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
