Soccer Recap: Arthur-Okaw Christian Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Arthur-Okaw Christian was not quite St. Thomas More's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Sabers by a score of 2-1. Arthur-Okaw Christian were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as St. Thomas More apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Arthur-Okaw Christian's goal came courtesy of Lucy Rutledge, who's now up to five this season.

Arthur-Okaw Christian dropped their record down to 3-5-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for St. Thomas More, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arthur-Okaw Christian will challenge Urbana University at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Thomas More, they will head out to face off against Danville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Thomas More will be up against Danville's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.17 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
