Volleyball Recap: Burney Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Burney lost against Redding Christian back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11, 25-14.

Alyssa Hawkins paced Burney's offense, picking up eight kills. Hawkins got some help from Aimee Hampton and her 13 assists. Hampton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Burney now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Redding Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Burney is set to take on their familiar foe CORE Butte at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Redding Christian will challenge rival Chester at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
