Softball Recap: Gladewater Comes Up Short

Gladewater suffered their biggest loss since February 16th on Tuesday. They lost 14-5 to the White Oak Roughnecks. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Roughnecks from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

Gladewater got a big performance out of Katelyn Pugliese, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Bailey Childress, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Gladewater has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for White Oak, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-4.

While Gladewater had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
