Basketball Recap: Shaw Snags 11th Victory in Last 12 Games

Shaw had won three straight road games and Demetrick Price Jr did his part to make it four on Tuesday. The Shaw Warriors came out on top against the South Delta Bulldogs by a score of 64-54 thanks in part to Price Jr, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. His evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amarion Sanders, who went 6 for 15 en route to 15 points. Sanders has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Amari Dunson, who posted four points and 11 rebounds.

Shaw is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for South Delta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Shaw wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 37-34 win against North Side on the 29th. As for South Delta, they will welcome West Bolivar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Delta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.
