Football Recap: Strong Performance on D from Rahiem Greene and Brandon Humphries Leads Kokomo over Marion

Marion came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Kokomo, but Baris Moore wouldn't allow it. The Wildkats took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 50-22 win over the Giants thanks in part to Moore, who picked up 230 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 111.8 receiving yards per game.

Kokomo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Rahiem Greene and Brandon Humphries.

Several Giants players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Barnes, who rushed for 33 yards and one TD, and also threw for 93 yards and one touchdown. Jayden Johnson was another key rusher, rushing for 91 yards and one score.

Kokomo's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Marion, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kokomo will take on rival Lafayette Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 827 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Marion is set to square off against their familiar foe Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
