Volleyball Game Preview: Bryant Hornets vs. Jonesboro Hurricane

The Bryant Hornets will head out to face off against the Jonesboro Hurricane at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Bryant managed to slip by Little Rock Christian Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hornets came up short against the Warriors on Monday, falling 3-0. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Bryant was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Jonesboro faced Cabot in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Hurricane lost 3-0 to the Panthers.

While Jonesboro ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-21.

Jonesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6-1. As for Bryant, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12-3.

Bryant might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Jonesboro when the teams last played back in September. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
