Volleyball Recap: Ellison Comes Up Short

Ellison scored first but ultimately less than University in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Ellison took University into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 15-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 0-25, 25-0, 25-0, 0-25, 15-0.

Ellison's defeat dropped their record down to 6-31. As for University, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 11-23 record.

Looking ahead, Ellison will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Belton at 6:30 p.m. As for University, they will take on Waco at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
