Volleyball Recap: Topeka Comes Up Short

Topeka lost against Blue Valley Southwest back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans fell 2-0 to the Timberwolves. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-6.

Blue Valley Southwest's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Catlin Shao, who had 15 assists and three digs. Shao has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more assists the last nine times she's played. Jessica Howe was another key player, getting six digs and two aces.

Topeka now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Blue Valley Southwest, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Topeka has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Junction City on the 27th. As for Blue Valley Southwest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Gardner-Edgerton on the 27th.
