If St. Helena was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Middletown last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. St. Helena fell just short of the Clear Lake Cardinals by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Saints' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

St. Helena saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie Blaum, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Those two hits gave Blaum a new career-high. Caiden Taylor also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

St. Helena's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Clear Lake, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Helena is set to face off against their familiar foe Cloverdale at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clear Lake will take on rival Upper Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
