The third road matchup was the charm for the Christian Academy of Madison Defenders, as they earned their first road win of the season. They enjoyed a cozy 55-40 victory over Laurel on Monday. For Christian Academy of Madison, this counts as revenge for the 73-66 loss Laurel walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Laurel saw an underclassman step up: Dominic James scored 15 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Brayden Gerrian was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Christian Academy of Madison's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Laurel, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
