Softball Recap: Ennis Comes Up Short

Ennis and Lake Belton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ennis had to settle for second. They fell 4-1 to the Broncos. The Lions have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Ennis saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Analisa Salazar, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Ennis' defeat dropped their record down to 21-15. As for Lake Belton, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 28-6.

Ennis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Belton, they will square off against West Mesquite on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Broncos 2.6, the Wranglers 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
