Volleyball Recap: Arcadia Takes a Loss

Arcadia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Saguaro Sabercats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sabercats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 6th.

Arcadia started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-22.

Trinity Thompson paced Arcadia's offense, picking up 15 kills. Thompson got some help from Jade Smith and her 35 assists. Finally, Emma Lindenmeyer kept Arcadia's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Arcadia's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Saguaro, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.

Arcadia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Marcos de Niza on the 23rd. As for Saguaro, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Canyon del Oro on the 23rd.
