Volleyball Recap: Mena Comes Up Short

Mena lost against Brookland back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Mena fell just short of Brookland by a score of 2-1. Mena has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Mena sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 20-25, 15-9.

Mena's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Brookland, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Mena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Valley View on the 27th. As for Brookland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Greene County Tech on the 27th.
