Basketball Recap: Austin Victorious

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Austin ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 60-51 win over the Salem Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Austin's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-9. As for Salem, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Austin will head out on the road to face off against Providence at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Providence will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Austin surely won't give up without a fight. Salem has already played their next game (against Eastern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
