Basketball Recap: Northland Lutheran Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Northland Lutheran won the last time they faced Port Edwards, and Josslin Adams did her part to make sure it happened again. The Northland Lutheran Wildcats claimed a resounding 71-39 victory over the Port Edwards Blackhawks thanks in part to Adams, who went 11 of 21 on her way to 27 points in addition to six boards and five steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Northland Lutheran's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Ostrowski, who went 7 for 16 on her way to 17 points and six rebounds. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2023.

Northland Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Port Edwards, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Northland Lutheran will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Manawa at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Port Edwards, they will take on Menominee Indian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
