Volleyball Recap: Cambridge Takes a Loss

Cambridge suffered their biggest loss since August 28th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Chattahoochee Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Cambridge took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16, 25-20.

Kate Carrizal paced Cambridge's offense, picking up six kills. Carrizal got some help from Sophia Carolino and her six assists. Audrey Lampa controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Isabella Podesta was a one-woman wrecking crew For Chattahoochee. as she had nine digs and two aces. What's more, Podesta racked up 20 assists, the most she's had since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Julia Karabolad, who had seven assists and six digs.

Cambridge has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for Chattahoochee, they moved to 12-20 with that victory, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Cambridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Westminster on the 25th. As for Chattahoochee, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Cherokee Bluff on the 25th.
