Baseball Recap: Estancia Takes a Loss

Estancia lost against Raton back in May of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears came up short against the Tigers, falling 17-7. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clinton Lopez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Christopher Rodriguez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Estancia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Raton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-8.

Coming up, Estancia will take on St. Michael's at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Horsemen have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Raton, they will challenge Clayton at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
