Baseball Recap: Wells Takes a Loss

Wells and Lake Region squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Wells had to settle for second. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Wells' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Lake Region, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

Wells does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Region, they will challenge York at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lakers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
