Manhattan scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 64-63 to the Hugoton Eagles. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 46-41.

Manhattan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hugoton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Manhattan will take on Salina Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hugoton will be paying especially close attention to the Indians' contest: after the Indians face off against Newton, they'll take on Hugoton again on Saturday.
