Softball Recap: Pewaukee Pirates vs. Waukesha South Blackshirts

While Pewaukee's victory against Waukesha South wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Blackshirts on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Hailey Hutchens was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hutchens was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sydney Brewster, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Kennedy Tisdale was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Pewaukee's record is now 12-4. As for Waukesha South, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.
