The Del Oro Golden Eagles will challenge the Oak Ridge Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Del Oro sitting on 17 straight victories and Oak Ridge on three.
Del Oro is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Sheldon get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won 18 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Mikayla Finn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Delaney Osborne was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kate Brown 2026 was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
Del Oro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheldon only posted an OBP of .391.
Meanwhile, Oak Ridge faced Tracy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since March 24th.
Ellison Schroeder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits.
On the hitting side, Oak Ridge got a big performance out of Emery Glaser, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aly Watson, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run and one double.
Del Oro's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-1. As for Oak Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 23-4.
Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Del Oro hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .424. However, it's not like Oak Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Del Oro came out on top in a nail-biter against Oak Ridge when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
