Basketball Recap: Creekside Seminoles vs. Chamblee Bulldogs
Creekside lost against Chamblee back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Seminoles fell 74-61 to the Bulldogs. The Seminoles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Creekside saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jacorey Lee posted 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ke'Andre Guyton, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 11 points.
It was another big night for Ryan McCord, who earned 17 points and three steals for Chamblee. McCord is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last five games he's played. Eston McDow was another key player, putting up 12 points.
Creekside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Chamblee, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Creekside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-42 win against Shiloh on the 25th. As for Chamblee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-54 loss against Johns Creek on the 25th.
