After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Broken Bow, Holdrege was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Cozad Haymakers 49-23. Given the Dusters' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Haymakers are ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Holdrege's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Cozad, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Looking ahead, Holdrege is taking a road trip to challenge Grand Island Central Catholic on Tuesday. As for Cozad, they have already played their next game, a 63-29 loss against Minden on the 7th.
