Basketball Recap: Harmony Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Harmony Christian Academy lost against Trinity Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mavericks took a blow against the Trailblazers, falling 47-12. The Mavericks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-3.

Joesph Caplette was Harmony Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted four points. Caplette also led the team in rebounds with six.

Trinity Christian had a senior duo take command as Ryan Khan posted ten points along with eight rebounds and five steals and Ethan Chellaraj went 5-for-10 on his way to 14 points and three steals. Khan has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Shakeel Khan, who scored nine points and seven boards.

Harmony Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Trinity Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Harmony Christian Academy will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Kearny Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trinity Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Koinonia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
