Baseball Game Preview: GlenOak Golden Eagles vs. Lorain Titans

The GlenOak Golden Eagles will face off against the Lorain Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. GlenOak is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 14 games.

GlenOak had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Hudson on Friday. The Golden Eagles were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Explorers. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

GlenOak got a great performance from Bryson Peffer as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Peffer has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Quincy Mazeke, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Kyle Moff was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs.

Meanwhile, Lorain came up short against Elyria on Tuesday, falling 16-2. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
